I think maybe the hardest part of moving forward
is having to choose to step away from people who haven't caught up yet.
It's not a personal thing. It's not even about the person. It's just a choice to continue moving in a way you want to. Because sometimes, when you have decided to take your life in a new direction, you need to weed out relationships trying to pull you back down a bad path.
I agree with you. And although it may be hard to move away from people who are putting you down or have a totally different lifestyle from you, it's the best thing to do. I've had to make choices like that as well and it has worked out for the better in the long run multiple times.
